No accounts, no personal data collection
The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or any other personally identifiable information about you.
What you search for
When you look up a character or guild, the name and realm you enter is sent to our server so it can be forwarded to Blizzard Entertainment's public Battle.net Game Data API and returned to you. This is public World of Warcraft character/guild data (class, level, gear, talents, PvP stats, guild roster, etc.) - it is not private information about you, the app's user. We do not log searches against any identity, and searches are not linked to you personally in any way.
On-device storage
To make the app more convenient, your "recent searches" list and your last-selected realm are saved locally on your own device (using your browser's local storage on web, or equivalent on-device storage on iOS/Android). This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time from within the app or by clearing your device/browser's app storage.
Server-side caching
To reduce load on Blizzard's API and keep the app fast, our server caches the public game-data responses described above (e.g. a character's gear or a guild's roster) for a short period. This cached data is the same public game data returned by Blizzard's API - it is not personal data about app users.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics on iOS/Android, Google Analytics for Web on the web app) to understand how the app is used - for example which screens are viewed and how often, in aggregate. This data is associated with a random device/installation identifier, not with your name, email, or any other personal information, and we do not use it to identify individual users. You can opt out of this on mobile via your device's ad tracking/personalization settings, or by using your browser's "Do Not Track" or an ad-blocking extension on web.
Advertising (web only)
The web version of Arena Armory shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including, where permitted, the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent message and can decline personalized advertising, in which case only non-personalized ads are served. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at any time via Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or learn more at www.aboutads.info. The iOS and Android apps do not contain any advertising.
Third parties
The app displays data from Blizzard Entertainment's Battle.net Game Data API and item/talent icon images from Wowhead's public icon library. It also uses Google Analytics/Firebase as described above. Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy practices where applicable.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
